Vanlim Ma is an architect with a strong focus on minimalist and sustainable design principles. Her inspiration stems from her education under the curriculum of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe at the Illinois Institute of Technology. With a background in commercial buildouts and higher education projects, she's been engaged in all phases from conceptualization to construction administration. Vanlim recognizes the significant environmental impact architects have and is driven by a commitment to incorporate simplicity, functionality, and environmental responsibility into her designs.
In her spare time, she likes to watch Korean Drama, Catch up with friends, and Box at the gym.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be? I would want to be a nomad and travel the world. There is so much to see out there.
What motivates you to work hard? Knowing that as an architect, I can make a difference in the world, the climate, and my surrounding communities.
If money was no object, what would you do all day? I would travel to see all the 7 wonders of the world.
Favorite local merchant? Local farmers market - Pasture raised eggs, artisan bread, and mushrooms.
What languages do you speak? English, Khmer, and now learning Korean.
