The VITA project by Finegold Alexander at 3531 Washington Street gained recognition in the Boston Globe Magazine's On The Block series. In honor of President's Day, The Boston Globe showcased homes for sale situated on streets named after the first US president. Positioned prominently on the corner of Washington Street in the heart of Jamaica Plain, VITA is a 5-story building comprising 82 condo units offering a variety of 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom options.
Beyond its appealing location, VITA has amenities such as a communal roof deck, a club room, concierge services, and more. The residences feature convenient parking solutions, including 84 below-grade and 52 surface parking spaces, along with electric car-charging stations for tenants and guests.
The building's L-shape is defined by projecting an angled tower element which anchors the development at the corner of Washington and McBride Streets and establishes scale within the existing neighborhood. The plan breaks down the massing with small terraces between units, reinforced by the alternating metal color scheme of the facade.
