Finegold Alexander Associate Erin Flaherty joined an AIA Kansas City panel last month teaching members about the 2030 Commitment.

The panelists — from Populous, Multistudio, SLATTERY Design + Architecture, and Hoefer Welker — sought to inspire designers to commit to a net-zero future.

“2030 reporting is a tool for your firms to demonstrate your progress toward carbon neutrality and energy efficiency by encouraging awareness and accountability,” Erin says.

The AIA 2030 Commitment sets goals and standards to reach net-zero emissions in the built environment. More than 1,500 architecture firms, including Finegold Alexander, have pledged reviewing and documenting projects to continuously improve the energy use intensity of our projects.
