FIRM NEWS | AIA 2018 Architectural Exchange East

Senior Principal Moe Finegold, and Director of Design Tony Hsiao will be presenting at the AIA Virginia 2018 Architectural Exchange East. Their talk, “A Muslim, a Jew, and a Christian walked onto a golf course…” will discuss Finegold Alexander Architects’ role in the early stages of the Tri-Faith initiative, and their specific work on Temple Israel in Omaha, NE. Located on a single campus in Omaha, NE, the Tri-Faith Initiative brings members of the Jewish, Christian, and Islamic faiths into a relationship founded on respect, acceptance and trust. Architects Patrick Morgan, from Slaggie Architects, and Michael Alley, from Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture, will discuss the design process behind the American Muslim Institute and the Countryside Community Church, respectively. Ross Altheimer from TEN x TEN will speak about the Master plan for the site, originally a golf course. Finally, the presentation will conclude with, Bud Heckman, the Executive Director of the Tri-Faith Initiative.
