Finegold Alexander was commissioned to renovate the high school complex encompassing three buildings. Each of the three buildings represents a distinct architectural style from 1895 – 1968. Primary project issues were: projections of a growing school population to accommodate 2200 students; the need to reprogram spaces for current teaching methods and new programs; upgrade of all systems; and compliance with federal, state, and local codes.
The 225,000 square foot project was accomplished in seven phases over three years while occupied. The first phase included a 45,000 square foot addition which became swing space for the project.
