Hundreds Turn Out for Steel Beam Signing Event

Several hundred Framingham residents of all ages and walks of life came to the Hemenway School on January 31 to sign one of the steel beams to be used in the construction of the new McAuliffe branch library across the street.

In addition to their signatures, many contributed words of inspiration and encouragement, literary quotes, as well as cash donations to the Framingham Public Library Foundation, which is raising $600,000 to reduce the town’s cost of the project.
